Favourite Class at IHN
I looked forward to every single course as I learned something profound and exciting from each class. Comparative Diets, taught by Murat was amazing! I often refer to my notes on holistic individuality such as oxidative, endocrine, and blood type diets as part of my evaluation, and protocol for my clients. Ayurveda was a mind opening experience and Kamsella shared so many interesting stories. We learned about the different constitutions such as Kapha, Vada, and Pitta which added another dimension to my learning experience. I had the pleasure of having Josephine as my teacher for Professional Skills Development, where I discovered my love of public speaking. Honestly, the entire program at IHN was outstanding and I’m proud to be a graduate of this incredible and wonderful Institute!
Most Memorable Moment at IHN
I had the unexpected honour of being one of the speakers at my graduation. As I walked up to the podium, I remembered all the things I had practiced in Professional Skills. I wanted to represent my school and classmates in the most professional and loving way, so I spoke from my heart and the words I had previously written to Elizabeth seemed to flow effortlessly. This was my very first public speaking engagement, which until that very moment, I was unaware of. You see, Elizabeth did not tell me I would be speaking that day. With Elizabeth’s wisdom and amazing insight, she knew it would be better if I wasn’t told in advance and she was right! I felt so connected with the audience and the energy in the room was incredible. I will never forget the feeling of pride and love from my family and friends. It was a very magical moment…thank you Elizabeth!

Currently Doing in the Field of Holistic Nutrition
The most important role I’ll ever have is being a Gerson Caregiver to my husband. I’m a cancer survivor and my husband Fred is currently battling prostate cancer. With the information I learned from IHN and our wonderful Cancer Coach Jeanette Marshall, Fred decided to fight his battle the holistic way, so we went to the Gerson Clinic in Mexico. This is a truly healing place and an experience we will never forget. The protocol we learned from the Gerson Institute is a tremendous amount of work, but Fred is doing well and his results are very promising.
Fred and I are going to be in a documentary regarding the Gerson treatment. We had 2 wonderful journalists Sarah Mabrouk, and Fred Lafargue, who lived with us for several days filming our day-to-day activities in regards to the Gerson protocol. They will be visiting our home every 3 months for the next two years documenting Fred’s progress. Fred is one of 5 patients they are following and they’re hoping this documentary will make it to the movie theatres. We feel honoured to be a part of this, and we hope this information will reach as many people as possible.
Once a month I meet with a remarkable group of Nutritionists that are very dear to my heart. I graduated from IHN with these amazing women. We discuss protocols and keep abreast of anything new in the Industry. We have a website called “The Healthy Hotties” http://healthyhotties.blogspot.com We take turns writing blogs regarding health and lifestyle issues.
I’m currently working part-time as the Nutritionist for BN Natural Food in Pickering and Bowmanville. I work one-on-one with clients helping them reach their health and wellness goals. I’m taking additional courses at IHN and this October I will be working on my Certification to become a Registered Cancer Coach.
I believe everything happens for a reason. My cancer experience changed my path in life and now I’m dedicated to helping others regain their health. I’m hoping within the next year to transition into a full time practice with my main focus on helping clients with active cancer and as well prevention.
