Dr Kamsella Devi Naidoo MB ChB, Dip Ayurvedic Medicine

Kamsella graduated from the Nelson R Mandela School of Medicine, Durban, South Africa and practiced allopathic medicine as a General Practioner/Family Physician for many years in Australia, South Africa and Oxford (United Kingdom), with a particular interest in psychiatry, occupational health, general medicine and dermatology. Kamsella always felt a need to get to the root cause of disease and after 14 years of pursuing a career in conventional medicine and a desire to sub-specialize in Dermatology, she made a dramatic career change. After questioning the fact that people with chronic disorders were not really getting better despite prolonged conventional medical therapy, she came to the realization that there had to be another way. This is when she discovered the field of Ayurveda and a whole new outlook on diseases opened up, and she has not looked back since. She has been involved as a volunteer for the past 10years with the Art of Living Foundation teaching stress management techniques to the general public, prisoners and rural communities in Canada and South Africa. These techniques incorporate the neuro-respiratory aspects of Ayurveda. She is currently teaching the Ayurvedic Mind /Body healing at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition. She continues to be a student of Life.
